The Valencia Café story: an authentic Mexican family in Napa Valley
How a grandmother's recipe traveled from Mexico to Napa and became the most beloved Mexican restaurant in the valley.

Valencia Café was born from a promise: that everyone who walked through our door would feel the same embrace we felt arriving at grandma's house in Mexico. Hot coffee, golden carnitas, fresh tortillas, and the smell of the comal.
The Valencia family came to Napa Valley with recipes kept in memory — not in books. Every dish was learned by watching, smelling, correcting. Today, those same hands prepare the food we serve every day.
In 2020 we opened our doors at 1408 Clay St. Napa with one simple idea: authentic Mexican cooking, no shortcuts, at the slow pace tradition demands. We marinate the pastor for 24 hours. We brown the carnitas in their own lard. We make the salsa in a molcajete.
Napa is a valley of wine and flavor, and we are part of that table. We are a Mexican family proud to serve you what we would serve in our own. Welcome to Valencia Café — flavor that makes you feel at home.
